Proposal preparation

The guest editor must submit his thematic issue proposals in areas of current significant interest to the Sami Publishing Company (SPC) for approval. Your proposal should include the following information:

  • Tentative title for special edition
  • Suggested one-page information on the importance of each area and a suggested date for submission of the article.
  • Subtopics of thematic issues (typically 8-10 articles)
  • A list of potential contributors (all of whom must be excellent in their field) and their affiliations.
  • Tentative schedule

If a special issue has multiple guest editors, one guest editor will act as the appropriate editor.

Invite authors

A guest editor will nominate her SPC authors and, upon approval, invite them to submit scientific and theatrical quality contributions for the special issue.

Contributions submitted for a special or theme issue will be reviewed according to the same rigorous standards as regular contribution submissions. Each paper must be independently evaluated by at least two he (and preferably three she) eminent experts in the field. Signs of:

  1. The review process (including the reviewer's name, title and email her address);
  2. Evidence of appropriate amendments to the paper suggested by the evaluator;
  3. Final approval of all reviewers of the revised manuscript must be made available to the editor.

The guest editor makes the initial decision on acceptance/rejection/amendment and resubmission of the manuscript and forwards the decision to the Editorial Board. In some cases, submissions may be independently reviewed by the Sami Publishing Company (SPC), which reserves the right to accept or reject manuscripts. Contributions will be published only if they clearly deserve publication based on their originality and the overall importance of the result. Final editorial decisions on all special/theme issues submitted are normally made by the editor-in-chief of the journal, but are subject to final approval by the Sami Publishing Company (SPC).

Contributors should be well-qualified researchers who can provide an up-to-date overview of the latest developments in the field.

  • A guest editor/co-guest editor can be an author or co-author on only one manuscript. Guest editors are also expected to write an introduction to this issue.
  • We recommend that you select only good contributors from different geographies.

A special issue or an invitation to contribute to a special issue does not guarantee approval for publication. Some submissions may be rejected.

The requirements for publication are that manuscripts submitted to the Sami Publishing Company (SPC) have not been published, are not submitted concurrently or published elsewhere, and comply with ethical guidelines (http://www.samipublishingcompany.com/ ).

Guest editors must submit a complete table of contents and edition structure, as well as the names and credits of contributors, before approving a proposal (final approval depends on the review process). Guest editors should inform authors of the proposed timeline for the special issue. Articles may be removed if they are not submitted to the publisher on time.

Peer review of specific/thematic papers

  • Our editorial policy requires at least two single blind reviews for articles posted.

Selection criteria:

The reviewer should have a PhD and usually h-index should be above 10.

Reviewers must receive publisher approval before submitting articles to guest her editors for review.

Peer review of special/thematic issues should be conducted by fully independent and reputable reviewers.

Reviewers cannot be selected from contributors or guest editors.

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final editorial decision on all submitted special or thematic issues.

Sami Publishing Company (SPC) may conduct independent peer reviews and reserves the right to reject articles based on such peer reviews.

Submission method

Online submission and follow-up services via the Internet enable fast and cost-effective manuscript submission. All thematic issues must be online via the journal management system (JMS).

After receiving the expert report, the guest editor will be asked to make an initial decision, and the paper will be returned to the authors for revision if necessary. If a guest editor recommends acceptance or rejection of a contribution, the final decision rests with the editor-in-chief. The editor will notify the author about the final status of the work.

Publication

After the editor accepts the article, it is sent to the publisher's production department. Proofs are published online and authors can review and approve them before publishing online.
